Delia Lloyd
Delia Lloyd is a London-based communications expert specialising in leadership communications, both speaking and writing. With over 20 years of experience as a writer, editor, and coach, Delia combines rigorous analytical thinking with an authentic, accessible voice.
Delia provides coaching and workshops for leaders in the commercial, nonprofit, and academic sectors including leading institutions such as the BBC, London Business School, the London School of Economics, and Oxford University. She is also an Adjunct Professor of Writing at Oxford University’s Blavatnik School of Government and a Senior Visiting Fellow at the LSE’s School of Public Policy. Delia has mentored start-ups in communication skills through both Zinc and LSE Generate. A seasoned journalist, her work has appeared in major outlets such as The New York Times, The Financial Times, The Washington Post, and BBC World Service.
Prior to coaching and facilitating, Delia served as Head of Policy and Research Insight at BBC Media Action, overseeing policy and research outputs, and as a Senior Development Adviser at the U.S. Treasury Department through a Council on Foreign Relations International Affairs Fellowship.
Delia holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from Stanford University and has taught public policy and international development at MIT and the University of Chicago. She earned a postgraduate degree in International Relations from FLACSO, Costa Rica, completing the program entirely in Spanish. In addition to her communications portfolio, Delia also offers workshops in project management and high performance mindset.
